Dr. Strouble is a professor in the strategic management and marketing department. He attended college on an ROTC scholarship and served on active duty as an armored cavalry officer with tours in Germany as a troop commander, Korea as a battalion adjutant, and Fort Knox. After leaving active duty he continued in the reserves and had assignments at the Pentagon and the Presidio of San Francisco. Dr. Strouble is an honor graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College and a ranger, and attained the rank of Lt. Col. When he left active duty, he went to law school and entered the practice of law in Texas. He has been a full-time faculty member at Pennsylvania State University, Bowling Green State University, University of Dallas, Miami University, and the Air Force Institute of Technology. With his business partner, he founded a company that they grew to more than 650 employees, became the Microsoft Business Partner of the year and was twice listed in the Inc. 500.
Dr. Strouble's research interests include: cyberlaw, cyberwar, social engineering, ethical hacking, information systems, and management.
He has published more than 25 papers and has been a consultant to the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, and numerous businesses. He is a member of the Texas Bar and holds the following certifications: NSTISSI 4011, Information Systems Security Professionals; CNSSI 4012, Senior Systems Managers; CNSSI 4013, Systems Administrators; CSP, Certified Systems Professional; and CDE, Certified Data Educator. He currently lives in Texas and joined Kaplan University in 2004.
